福建南海食品有限公司始建于1996年，总资产达500万美元，注册资本1696.58万元，是集蔬菜和水果种植、加工、出口为一体的农工贸企业。公司位于闽南金三角的漳州南端，气候温和，土地肥沃，雨水充足，是闻名海内外的花果之乡，农业资源极为丰富，常年盛产毛豆、甜豌豆、青刀豆、荷仁豆、麻笋、蘑菇、香菇、木耳、马蹄及香蕉、荔枝、龙眼、蜜柚等60多种蔬菜、水果。同时，公司已建立万亩低农残蔬菜、水果种植基地，为客户提供绿色食品原料。南海企业同时拥有南海庄园等子公司、该庄园有自溢性的南天瑶池温泉和四季瓜果飘香的果园，已初步形成集观光、旅游、休闲为一体的特色农业庄园。  
    公司目前拥有年产万吨速冻果蔬的生产线，年产6000吨的保鲜生产线和年产500吨的干燥、脱水生产线。公司采用现代化的生产和管理模式，产品生产和管理已通过中国质量认证中心的HACCP认证和ISO9001：2000认证，产品远销欧、美、日、香港等国际市场。 
    目前公司正与清华大学、中国农机学院的科研中心合作，实施企业与科研单位相结合，共同开发的以蜜柚资源为主的香料产品和蜜柚肉保鲜技术，与福建农林大学食品科技学院合作，对蜜柚果肉进行工业化保鲜加工和对香蕉进行气调保鲜等项目合作研究，该项目已列入福建省2003年重点建设项目。

    Fujian Nanhai Food Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 with total assets of USD 5 million and a registered capital of RMB 16.9658 million . As an agricultural , industrial and trading enterprise that incorporates vegetable and fruit plantation , processing and export ,the Company is located in the southern tip of Zhangzhou in the South Fujian Golden Triangle ,which features a mild climate , fertile soil and ample rainfall and enjoys a fine reputation as the “home of flowers and fruits” with its abundant agricultural resources and perennial production of 60- plus varieties  of vegetables and fruits , such as green soy beans , sugar snap peas , green beans , peapods ,bamboo shoots , mushrooms , fragrant mushrooms , fungus and water chestnuts as well as bananas , longan and honey pomelos . The Company has built a 10,000-mu (approximately 667 hectares ) plantation base for low-residue vegetables and fruits , providing customers with the raw materials for green foodstuff . Nanhai Foods Co.,Ltd. owns a number of subsidiaries including Nanhai Fazenda , which has a self-flowing spring and an all-year round orchard ; a fazenda of specialty agriculture featuring an integration of sightseeing , tourism and leisure has basically emerged .  
     Currently , the Company owns a full range of production lines with an annual output capacity of 10,000 tons of quick-frozen fruits and vegetables and 6,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as production lines with an annual drying and dehydration capacity of 500 tons . The Company implements modern production and management systems ; the production and management of the products have obtained HACCP certification by China Quality Certification Center and ISO9001:2000 certification , with products exported to Europe , the US , Japan , Hong Kong and many other international marketplaces. 
     At present , the Company is joining hands with the R & D centers of Tsinghua University and China Academy of Agricultural Machinery to embark on joint development of spice products with honey pomelos as the main resource and the technology for preserving the freshness of honey pomelo flesh ; the Company has also teamed up with Fujian University of Agriculture and Forestry in conducting joint research of the industrialized freshness preservation and processing of honey pomelo flesh and the air-regulating freshness preservation of bananas ; this research project has been listed as a key development project in Fujian Province for 2003 .
